Kronz ultrasonic single -and -double -sheet detection sensors are primarily used to detect whether sheets of paper, plastic, or metal film are single or unintentionally stuck together as multiple layers. The sensor continuously compares the detected values with stored reference values and outputs signals indicating single or multiple layers, unaffected by the color of the material.

Working Principle

    An ultrasonic transmitter emits a high-frequency ultrasonic beam from below the sheets. The sound wave causes the sheet to vibrate, generating a very small sound wave on the other side of the sheet, which is received by the ultrasonic receiver. When the signal passes through two sheets (double sheet), it becomes very weak and cannot reach the receiver.
